Pesto with Genovese Basil DOP - Frantoio Bianco

The fragrant character of Genovese Basil DOP takes centre stage in this Italian pesto. Made with 35% fresh basil and 35% extra virgin olive oil, it combines Parmigiano Reggiano DOP, cashews, pine nuts and garlic for a flavourful accompaniment to simple dishes.

Serving suggestion: Toss with trofiette or trenette, loosening the pesto with a little warm pasta cooking water before serving. It also makes a delicious topping for bruschetta.
